What is Built to Play?
Our Built to Play Girl’s Only Soccer Program is a 2-year pilot, funded by the MLSE Foundation’s Community Action Grant. Made possible by our partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters Peel, the 2-year pilot will run a yearly 8-10 week girl’s only soccer program in Scarborough. Learn more by clicking here.
What’s the role of the Volunteer Planning Committee?
The Volunteer Planning Committee (VPC) will work with the core Girls & Women in Motion Program Teams (Co-Leads: Gaby Estrada and Fatima Muhtaj) to support developing and delivering the initial areas of the Built to Play Program. This includes: coach recruitment, training, sponsorship, outreach, marketing and promotion, etc.
How long is the commitment?
Successful applicants will be on our VPC from April – June, with potential renewal from July – September.
What does the VPC members get in return?
Beyond being a part of this incredible program, all VPC members will get a $250 honorarium for their work from April – June, alongside Girls & Women in Motion swag, and other perks!
